BUG in Area by Interior Point!

Postby Thomas Zoeller, LS » Wed Sep 01, 2004 5:50 pm

Has anyone ever come by this before in Survey XML? I wouldn't have noticed
it if I hadn't had existing area calcs. to compare to. What I found is that
when you use the "area by interior point" command in a closed figure that
has a curve in it, that the computed/labelled area will be incorrect as the
program is calculating the area along the chord of the curve instead of
along the circumference.

This has me a tad concerned as I know that I've used this command in the
recent past on other "first" surveys. I just can't recall at the moment if
any of them had curves.
