Staked Point Numbering

Postby G. W. Bell » Fri Oct 29, 2004 3:55 am

In the last program I used, Traverse PC, there was a very neat feature which
allowed for staked points to be stored in the coordinate file as the same
point number as the design point seperated by a colon and then a designater
number. for instance:

say the design point is 100
say it is shot in from control point 4 then the shot becomes 100:1
Say you shoot the same point in from another control point then the shot
becomes 100:2

This allows for you to print a compare point/stake out sheet.

Is there a way to accomplish this in Carlson?

I am trying to code and old job file so that I might be able to use it. Our
old data collector would not allow the same point number to be used, so we
would assign a different point number an note the design point. I am trying
to convert this to a useable file.

Thanks for the help.

Use alphanumeric point names option and then 100:1,100:2,
S100:1,S100:2,etc... are valid point names.
