I know what you mean.
I was used to LDD, where you can click anywhere on the point object and it
would snap to the actual point location - where you actually want the line
to be drawn to/from.
With Carlson, I usually draw the lines by point number - which is easier to
do than in LDD.

Using 2006 Survey and Field it appears that the points
draw(Symbol,PNTNO,PTDESC,PNTELEV) have three nodes one at the point, one
on
PNTNO and another on PNTDESC.
If I then draw a line with NODE set as OSNAP three points could be found.
I
need to zoom in and ensure that I select the correct point.
Have I got a setting wrong.
Survcadd 2006 works fine.
