Grid file vs. FLT

Hi all,
Which would be more accurate for staking elevations in the field, a grid
file or a tin (flt) file? Also, will the new binary tin file be
supported in a future release of SurvCE?

Terry,

If you are staking something like a golf course or a gentle rolling type of
surface, either format would be fine. But if you are staking a site, road
or any type of surface with defined "breaks", you definitely want to use a
tin file. The latest version of SurvCE (available for download) supports
the new *.tin format.
