Bluetooth with SurvCE

Has anyone had success setting up bluetooth with SurvCE. I have SurvCE
Version 1.50.006 dated 08/20/04 installed. I'm using a Trimble TSCe data
collector also known as a Ranger by Tipod Data Systems. The current version
of Windows CE.NET 4.0.11 is installed as my operating system. I have
bluetooth enabled in the control panel. The ranger recognizes and works when
connecting with my Trimble 5800 using Trimble's Survey controller software.
Why won't Carlson's SurvCE?
