Centerline and Profiles

I am having the most difficult time creating centerlines and profiles from
either the grid file, or the existing topographic details. I can create the
centerline, but contrary to the manual I do not have an option for
"elevating" the polyline under my 'design' options. If I create a 3d
polyline then I can't fillet it to create arc's, and when I simply re-do a
3d polyline over an existing 2d polyline then the profile will NOT ignore 0
elevations.

I am wondering if I am simply missing something (such as why does the manual
tell me I can "elevate" a 2d polyline but the command doesn't exist in my
program.) or is there some sort of bug in the program? Or simply operator
error?

I am not succeeding in creating a simple road plan because of this problem.

I don't have a menu in front of me, but it sounds like you are talking
about "2D to 3D Polyline by Surface Model"

True. 3D Polylines cannot contain arcs.

Set the "Interval on Line Segments" and "Interval on Curve Segments" to fit
your demands
Draw>3D Polyline
Use the points created above
