Terry,
Area by interior point will not work if the objects selected don't form
a closed figure. This is a pretty good check when running areas to make
sure all is what it should be. We would need to have a setting to
indicate the max seperation to join, much line the setting for area by
lines and arcs. I kind of like the way the command works now but i will
get you request posted to the wish list. In the meantime, when you need
to create bpolys, boundary polys, go to the edit pulldown in Survey and
use the "Draw Boundary Polyline" command. This way you won't have to go
out of Survey to create your boundaries. Hope this helps.

I would like to see, in Carlson survey, the ability to create a polyline
with the Area by interior point command, such as the bpoly command in
autocad. When you inverse by area, it creates a polyline, and you have
the option to erase it. I would be much more useful, to me, to be able
to have this option with the area by interior point. This may be
available in 2006, but I didn't see it in the feature list.
I have been doing the bpoly in intellicad to get boundaries form several
entities, then bring it back into carlson. Maybe this is something that
can be added in a future release.
