Did something happen to the server recently? I lost all messages between
2/24/2004 and 6/10/2005.

Is there a way I can retrieve these? I am hoping to direct new users in my
office to the newsgroup as they learn the system.

Sounds more like an issue with your newsreader client software (NNTP
client). I'm looking at postings from 5/20/04 to 6/27/05.
