When processing topo's with FTF we would like to have different prefixes for elevations, "FL 70.76" "C 85.17" or "TOE 74.32" in addition to descriptions displayed beneath those.
Example: #1001
FL 70.76
MC FLOW
Editing the Attribute Layout ID's by changing srvpno# drawings does not solve this problem.
Also we would like to display a tic 'x' for all the points as well as map symbols where necesarry. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

which version of carlson do you have?
I have Survey 2008.
In the field to finish set up for each code you can add both a suffix and prefix to the elevation. I use it for example on heights of trees i.e top tree RL 76.5, you can also define the decimal places for the particular code.
Hope that helps.

If you want the x symbol, use spt4 as your point symbol. If you do not want the x symbol in the point, use spt0 for the points and use pdmode 3 as stated before.

In 2008 there are two areas where you can add a prefix to the RL's
1. Edit field code definition for each code.
2. Additional draw options opens a window to add a pre/suffix.
If using 1. you can add the description you wish to appear for the code.Tick the use raw description if you wish to use the description applied in the field after the comment character /. Or don't tick the use raw description and enter a description in the Description Box.
You can edit a Attribute Layout Id to get the arrangement on screen.
Good Luck
