Excel import, XL2CAD

I need to import an Excel sheet into Carson Survey 2008. A previous poster mentioned DotSoft's XL2CAD.

Is XL2CAD compatible with Survey 2008?

Is there a more obvious way to get Excel sheets into Carlson Survey that I'm missing (other than pasting OLE images)?

xl2cad wont run on the standalone to my knowledge. OLE objects is the only way that I am aware of.
