What am I doing wrong?

If I have a Point Group defined and I Export Text/ACII File, no matter what I try I can't seem to get it to export properly by using the Point Group button. It appears it should fill in the Range field with the results of selecting a point group, but it doesn't.

Does this export points by point group feature work for anybody?

Thanks, I'll go try it on a couple more machines and see if it is my specific issue. Appreciate the check on that.

A test on another system and it worked properly ... then back to mine where it worked properly.

Must have been the phase of the moon or something drawing/crd-file specific.

Now I also know the syntax to try if it doesn't seem to be working:

Range of Points to Write:GROUP[name]

I'm not crazy.

I just had the same issue I brought up earlier when trying to List Points, and when I checked it was happening on Export Points too.

I "saved" thinking that might be an issue since I was in the first stages of this project. Closed the drawing and re-ropened ... still no go.

Closed Carlson and re-opened ... ta-da, it works.

Odd, just seems to ignore my request for a particular group. I didn't try typing it in, should have tried that before I got it working.

So far I'm guessing something about a new project, new coord file, new point group file, etc is requiring me to restart Carlson.

Not the end of the world, but might be worth looking at.
