DRAWING A LINE

Anyone know why there is a hesitation when I am drawing a 2d line. I'll be
drawing a line for a few lengths, but then all the sudden there is a slight
annoying hesitation. I have a "hog" of a computer--this shouldn't be my
computers fault.
