Is there an add-on that would allow me to save my drawing as a .pdf or
other image file (.jpeg,.bmp,.tiff,etc.) that could be read by others not
having the Carlson software.

Thanks

PDF995.com

Use mine almost daily to send changes and such to SCDOT, SCDHEC and our
County / Municipal Engineering offices.

It adds a printer type to your system, just configure it in Autocad just
like you would any other printer. ANSI and ARCH sized papers are already
built in.

You can download and use it for free, it just wants to open your web
browser and display adds every time you use it. Or just pay the $9.95
and they will send you a license key for you to put in the program
folder to turn off the web advertisements.

-To create a bitmap file from the Edit menu choose Clipboard>Copy and select
the objects you want to save as bitmap.
-Use Plot DWF Files to create DWF files that can be opened, viewed and
plotted by anyone using Autodesk DWF Viewer.

Try this link http://www.pdf995.com/ I downloaded it the other day, but
haven't installed it yet. You could also get Adobe Acrobat 7.0 ($299 for
standard version) and it will print to PDF, or if you only need it for
one job, they have a 30-day trial of Acrobat 7.0 which is really nice to
see what all it will do. The 995 website should be sufficient though.
