extender command

Postby lnls » Wed Aug 12, 2009 5:44 pm

Hi,

Just this morning, the "extender" command seems to have screwed up on me. It now creates individual line segments rather than modifying the current one that you click on. There seems to be no way to revert back to the original way where it modifies the length of the current line segment.

Please advise.

Thank you.

What version/ build are you using? My program (Build 090806) does not create individual line segments. Also try using the "lengthen" command, you might get the desired results with that one.

I'm using version 2009 build April 28, 09.

There does not appear to be a "lengthen" command. Also, this problem only appears to be occuring on one computer, which is part of the problem because I have no idea how to duplicate it on another machine.

If you are trying to lenthen a polyline you have to make sure its direction is in the same direction you want to lengthen. Otherwise it will create a segment from the opposite end and sometimes from its mid-point. Use the "change direction" tool to change it accordingly.
