text command

Hi,

I've noticed that the text command will randomly fail. After picking the direction of the text, it will freeze a little bit and then quit back to the command prompt. I have also noticed that it will not work again until I use a ddedit command and edit any text.

Thank you.

The latest one - 2009 build April 28, 09.

I've noticed that the last few patches didn't address this issue.

There is actually a later build posted. Update your software and try it again and let me know if you still are having this issue. Thank you.

Hi, I don't see a later build on the software download site. Where can I obtain the latest version?

Thank you.

Actually I think you are running 2009 w/ Embedded Acad. This would explain the build date and it is the latest for that version. Next time this happens, press F1 and see if there is any error messages on the text window and report them to us directly by emailing us at support@carlsonsw.com or calling the number below so we can take a look at it. Thank you.

I have had this occur, not as frequently as previously. I find it most likely to occur while in a layout tab. If I return to model space it will sometimes rectify itself. Usually I copy an existing piece of text to overcome the problem. It will sometimes return to use after some text functions have been used.

I have the same problem. It seems to have something to do with regenerating the view. If I change fonts or the size, the single line text command freezes and then restores to the command prompt. I found that if you "regen" the view before issuing the single text command, it does not hang. Maybe Carlson techs can create a patch with an "autoregen" command when fonts types or sizes are changed.

hello,

It depends on what you are using text command in SQL or in DOS because both have diffrent and both required diffrent syntax and diffrent commands for running. or you have just simple text problem.
