XML and ToolPac

Postby Rick Farwell » Sat Dec 21, 2002 6:57 am

I have been a user of SurvCadd for 10 years now, and given the choice, I
would not change. However, through the years, I have been forced to switch
through many packages, depending on the company I've been with. Through the
years, as autocad has continued to be the platform I have been using, there
has always been one constant (no, it is not baseball), and that has been
Terry's Toolpac.

Now that we have move to Carlson XML (a fine program), and have moved from
full blown AutoCad (too expensive), I miss many of the tools that Terry
provided with his superb offering.

Can we please, now that this program is away from Autodesk, incorporate more
of the ToolPac tools?

I could go on, but,

the Table Tools (sure don't need Excell capability), attribute tools, and
Mtext tools would be excellent.

Thanks for your continued excellence.

Look forward to your continued dedication and support.

HI DALE!!!

Rick,

Adding ToolPac to Carlson Survey was considered at one time. However, much of ToolPac uses functionality that is not available to us in the Autodesk OEM engine. It may be possible to roll *some* routines into a future version of Carlson Survey. It's not my call though, so we'll have to wait and see. Thanks for your input.
