CRD file

Can anyone tell me why when you move a point in autocad and list the point
the coordinates
will be correct for the point position, but the coordinates in the crd file
will stay the same
as when you imported them. But when you use the move points command in
Carlson it
automatically updates the crd file. Must I always use the commands in the
points menu
only to manipulate the coordinates?

There is an option in the program to update the CRD file when you move
using AutoCAD commands. It must be turned off in your case.

More percicley, the option is located in the Settings, Configure, General
Settings,
Under Object Linking, check the "Link Points iwth CRD File" box.

Or....

You could move the points as you are doing now and update the crd file from
the drawing useing Points, Coordinate File Utiltiies, Upate CRD file from
drawing, BUT be warrned this updates all the points and if they elv. data
and you didnt enter them in the drawing with it (locate on real Z was turned
off) when you issue this command all your elevation data will be lost! So
use with caution... and keep good backups!
