I have been asking that someone look into the Item Standards Manager for some time, but have not heard any response. As of this latest build (03-05-10) I still cannot get this feature to work. I have followed the example given in the webinar/help file to no avail.

Draw>Draw to Standard>Item Standards Manager

hit enter through the command

click on the Draw Standard Item icon

What should happen at this point, I believe, is that the Draw Standard Item is replaced with Item Standards Manager. However, this is not the case. Instead nothing happens. Is the Items Standards Manager not a working component of Survey 2010 with Embedded AutoCAD? Is this only a feature in Civil? Last time I checked it didn't work in Civil either.

I am having the same issues. I typically rely on the field code library and drawing template files to get me what I need in leu of this. I have asked if this was going to be incorporated within the field to finish libraries and was told that was the ultimate goal.
