Help Index

I just loaded Carlson Survey 2006 so I am learning how to execute many of
the time-saving functions of the program.
The Help Index does not appear to be working properly. For instance I
type in the words "text" or "traverse" and for both words it gives me the
same "2D polyline" chapter to read!! I typed in "prompt" and "function"
and both times I was given "Break 3D Polyline" for an answer.
The Help Search seems to work OK (but is awkward to obtain specific
answers) and the .pdf manual is available but each search results in MANY
possible answers. One difference I notice is when I click on HELP from
the main screen the choice is "On-line help"... Other Windows programs
just list "Help". Does this mean there is a web site to get the help
index?
Is this a standard Carlson help index routine problem or am I missing a
setting somewhere?
I will be calling Carlson Support Monday AM also.
Thanks, Neil
