Hello, I'm a long time C&G user. Started with the DOS version in 93 and was most resently running C&G 7. I just upgraded to Carlson 2011 about a week ago. So far so good. I'm having fun figureing out where everything is located and learning new tricks. Just a couple of things I can't seem to do on the Carlson.

1. How do you do a perpendicular inverse to a point along a chosen line ?Say you pick two end points and want to see how far off the line other points are? In C&G I would use the intersect command and choose P for perpendicular.

2. In the Carlson intersection command. How do you offset a line while doing a bearing - bearing intersection? Lets say you wanted to do a BB interx of 2 lines but wanted the lines to intersect at a specified offset right or left of the picked lines.

3. Can't seem to get my C&G snap to work

Thanks for any help. I'm sure I'll have many more questions. Looking forward to useing Carlson
