MICROSTATION DGN

At some point in the update system some magic occured and a menu item under "FILE" was added that says "Import a MicroStation DGN File". Really neat and I think I see how it is supposed to work, but some parts of the setup do not play nice. Does anyone know of a tutorial or a "How To" or a book that might lead a slovenly user through a step by step Guide? (I down loaded the Survey Manual and even purchased a hard copy through the lulu store, but I can find nothing on this feature that explains each step.)
