Esc key not working, Carlosn 2012 on Windows 7 Home Premium

Postby csnoke » Tue Nov 29, 2011 3:33 pm

I've installed, uninstalled this demo a few times to see if the problem fixes itself.. no luck. It worked fine in Carlson 2011 Intellicad 6.6, but in 2012 the ESC does not work.

This is a total pain because there is no good way to escape a command.

For example, if I try to move an object.. I select it, click a base point and the it asks for a displacement point.. I should be able to hit escape and abandon the move.. but I can't. ESC does nothing.

Any advice.. is this a bug or did I unknowingly change some setting?
Thanks.

The old cancel command was control C, or hold down on the control and the C keys. There may be a setting for the classic commands in the defaults.

Thanks Terry, but that's not the solution I was hoping for. Control+C certainly serves another purpose in modern software and ESC is what I'm used to hitting.

The problem may lie in the "Home Edition" version of Windows. Sometimes the Home Editions do not play nice with cad packages.

Sadly, this wouldn't surprise me if it were the case. The odd thing is that 2011 works fine on this machine, this problem only appears in Carlson 2012.

Turns out this is a bug in the September build. Updating to the newest version and rebooting fixes the issue.
