Road Profile Bad Argument Type

Postby BSS » Mon Aug 28, 2006 8:56 pm

While creating a road profile, using the "Road" command, I receive the
following error when I am prompted to "Pick vertical position for VC text."
[ bad argument type: stringp nil :error#0 ] The error occurs after picking
the spot on the screen to place the text. I have tried changing the .pro
file name, removing associations in the .ini file and saving the files to
different directories. I have tried it after shutting down Carlson, my PC,
on another PC and in a new drawing.

Any suggestions? I have had the problem in the past but it always seemed to
resolve itself using one of the techniques listed above.

Oddly enough the "Road" command still creates the .pro file, it just will
not draw in the VC text. If I use the command "Drawprof" on the new .pro
file, everything works out, including placing the VC text. I would think
both routines would use the same programming, so am still at a loss why one
works and the other doesn't.
