Software Carlson 2008 survey Standalone. I am not sure how to rotate the view in a viewport when "mvsetup" is unknown command. I have read the posts on scaling the drawing and can do that. I also have Carlson Survey 2011 Embedded AutoCAD but have not made the switch yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think i got it.

Activate the Viewport and use the twist screen, select a line as your base line.

There's a real good video by That Cad Girl on this site that covers paper space/ model space and all the little tricks very well. Watch it when you get a chance. It even made sense to me.

Does the twist screen option work in IntelliCAD or is this option reserved only for those users of Carlson Software who choose to run Carlson on top of AutoCAD?

It works fine in Intellicad. I used all the time in 90% of jobs with no problems
The upcoming release 2015 will close the gap in many of the differences with Autocad.
