I am new to Carlson and working to convert our company over from LDD. We are progressing well but I have concerns with the points.

First I have my object linking set to "Group Point Entities". I am concerned about the points being able to be moved around in the drawing "node" and all. I am used to the #, elev, and desc moving and an automatic leader while the node stays in the original "shot or staked" location.

Is it possible to setup Carlson the same way or to lock the node?

Turn off "Group Point Entities". Use the "Move Points With Leader" command to move your points. The node will stay put. When you erase the points and do a new "Draw, Locate Points" they will come back in normally. The point data will move like the old LDD point with the node staying in place.
