Linetypes file

Postby SurvTech31 » Fri Feb 10, 2012 6:32 pm

I have a client that has requested my *.LIN file because our linetypes are not showing up properly on his end. I am looking for the linetypes that are available from the change polyline linetypes command. I have found a file named SURV.LIN, but the file contains the border, center, dashdot, etc, and not the change polyline linetypes. Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Unlike fonts, linetypes are stored in the drawing, based on past experience.
I don't think that sending your lin file would help. The difference is probably in the ltscale. I've never had to send a client a linetype file, but the software may handle it differently now.

Plus too these files are created on use in Carlson, so they are not really a *.lin file. Some break the actual lines and add a block.
The only "fix" I can think of is this: These lines must be polylines to be converted. Try exploding the polylines and see if the client can see them then.
It may be similar to some people not being able to see AEC contours, but if you explode them, most clients can then see them.
