point groups?

Carlson Survey 2013 w/embedded ACAD.

I have a point group, it has 5 points in it.

When I LIST POINTS by group, it shows the 5 points.
When I go to TRANSLATE POINTS, I choose BY GROUP, it shows the same 5 points.

But, after the command it says that it translated 65 points? Why?

Also, the first time I did it, about 10 points actually moved on the screen (some in the group, some not), I undid it, then the second time nothing moved.
Any advice?

PUT DOWN THE KEYBOARDAND STEP AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER!!

How many points are in your point file? 65?
Be sure to carefully look at each switch and setting when you create the point groups and when you do the translation. Somewhere you have something set telling the computer to do something.
CAREFULLY look at every radio button and/selection box and check how it is set. Carlson is real bad about having settings 3 or 4 levels down inside of a command or task bar.
