Offset Horizontal & Offset Vertical F2F Codes

Postby kdickerson » Tue Dec 31, 2013 3:45 pm

I've played around a little with the F2F OH OV codes and have been unsuccessful with creating multiple offset 3D lines. I can get the F2F OH OV codes to draw two (2) extra 2D lines, but the second 3D line does not seem to be accurate after the creation of the first OH OV code.

BC OH-.5 OV-.5 OH-2.5 OV-.46
BC=Field locate the back of curb
OH=offset horizontal (left) 0.5’
OV=offset vertical (down) 0.5’ (face of curb / gutter pan)
OH=offset horizontal (left) 2.5’
OV=offset vertical (down) 0.46’ (edge of gutter / edge of pavement)

In closing, using the code above, I get the two (2) extra 2D lines to come in correctly, The back of curb and the face of curb is drawn correctly using the elevations I specify, but the edge of gutter / edge of pavement has the exact same elevation as the face of curb. This is not what I specified.

Any clue or suggestions? Thanks, Kevin D.

A single set of offset codes can be used to offset the polyline a set amount
You can define a template file in Civil Design module.
The code points act as the centerline for the template and the program will drawn parallel 3D polylines for each break point (grade ID) in the template.
