ARCGIS for Autocad

This is for those of you who wish to bring in images, feature services, and map services. I see several posts regarding bringing in google images and it seems like a bit of a task and is rather limited. In Carlson 2013 or later, you can bring in all of the above with the exception of google earth or google maps with ArcGIS for Autocad. The latest version of this is ArcGIS for Autocad 300. The catch is if you are running a 64 bit operating system, the 64 bit download will not work with Carlson embedded. You must dowload the 64 and 32 bit installs. Install the 64 bit version and only extract the components from the 32 bit installation and replace the ArcGIS for Autocad.dll file with the 32 bit version. When starting Carlson ensure that your ribbon is open and type "netload" in the commandline and navigate to the ArcGIS for Autocad 300 folder under program files and select the ArcGIS for Autocad.dll. Once you have done this, the ribbon will open up the application in Carlson. You can select from predefined coordinate systems built within the application or create your own custom projects such as those with a surface scale factor. I have been successful with using this application in bringing in imagery, feature services, and map services such as those provided by ArcGIS servers.
