That's exactly what was happening. Apparently when I read through the
manual, that part didn't sink in.

So the space tells carlsons there is two codes on this line, one

In the "Code Table Settings" dialog, there is an option

Multiple Codes". Mine had "all" checked, so I
checked
"none" instead.
That did the trick. All of my points came in as a single point

correct symbol, description, etc.
I'm not sure why the codes were being recognized as multiple,
except
that
the addition of a space and a number was freaking it out.
