Solved!

After posting, I went back to the F2F routine again.
In the "Code Table Settings" dialog, there is an option for "Split
Multiple Codes". Mine had "all" checked, so I checked "none" instead.
That did the trick. All of my points came in as a single point with the
correct symbol, description, etc.
I'm not sure why the codes were being recognized as multiple, except that
the addition of a space and a number was freaking it out.
