create text stops working

We have found that text insert functions stop working in the middle of a
drawing and then start working again without any recognisable cause.
Single line text, mtext and adjoiner text stop functioning. Auto annotate,
dynamic text, offset and building dimension still work. Sometimes exiting
and restarting carlsons fixes the problem but not always. Audit and purge
do not resolve the issue.

Running latest Carlson 2007 standalone on windows 2000 and XP.

Any ideas on a solution?

Any ideas on a solution?

Problem resolves itself after flipping or moving a piece of text. Still
occurs intermittently.
