Does anyone here know how to search for a thread before posting?

Does anyone know how not be a jerk here?? The thread below mine and others
apply to single line text NOT MULTILINE. I have tried the suggested fix
and it work with single line text only not multiline. Thanks for your ever

Mine works right OOTB (without being in the CUI).
What function is executed when you double-click?

I was going to apologize for missing the specific reference to mtext, but
when I saw what he sent me at home, I figured I'd just post it for all to
read.

First go to your CUI window. Then in the Customizations in All CUI File
window expand Double Click Actions. The Mtext should have the same Macro
as the text does. When expand mtext the Macro should be ^C^C_ddedit. Then
hit apply.

Under double click there is nothing in mine to expand. How do you add a
macro under double click such as mtext and text? And on which line do you
put the macro?

Right Click 'Double Click Actions and select 'New Double Click Action'
and name it 'MTEXT'

On the right side under 'Advanced' type 'MTEXT' in the Object Name field.

Now, in the bottom left scroll down until you find 'Text Edit...' left
click this and drag it up onto the new command you created under Double
clicl actions.
Text Edit should then appear below mtext with a star next to it.

Exit Cui editor and it should be fixed. Refer to previous posts regarding
double click edit under preferences

This procedure is good for any object and command combination, you just
need to use the objects dxf name in object name field.
