3D face intersection

Hi.

i really need to know how to create a 3D polyline where two surfaces
intersect. Like when you are doing a volume calculation and let the
program draw a color map, you can see where cut/fill meets. I need a
polyline where cut/fill meets.

If you know how to accomplish this, please post the solution.
