Express Tools and Help

Hello,

I have installed Civil 2007 on top of LDD 2004 and am having some issues.
First off, I cannot get Express Tools to work consistently. Some things
work (ex: Layer Freeze), but others don't (Layer Isolate). I get an error
message on the ones that don't of "no function definition:
ACET-STR-FORMAT". If I start LDD by itself, everything is fine. Is there
a conflict somewhere that I can resolve?

Also, my Carlson help is inconsistent. I can launch it from the Help
menu, but context specific help from dialog boxes says "Carlson Software
Help is not installed".
