After playing around with this new option, I was disappointed in the fact that It will only export a plan file for Qground control. I hope in the very very near future it will export KMZ and KML file types so that I can utilize this with my Skyfish and DJI uavs.

I know nothing about drones or the mission planning. Just want to mention exporting entities to KML/KMZ is possible using File | Export | Google Earth File

Maybe you know this command and it misses something you need for mission planning... If not give it a shot.
