2008 engine

is the new standalone 08 based on the cadd 08 engine? is doesnt appear so.
in particular i am looking for the ability to automatically scale text
relative to viewports.

The Carlson 2008 Standalone engine is based on the 2007 AutoCAD engine. The Standalone engines are limited to about 30% of full AutoCAD functionality. Although this function was not present in the 2007 engine this feature may also not be present in the 2008 limited engine.
