Trouble with fieldbook import

"linework" for features (curb, gutter, etc.) using the "BEG TC1", etc.
commands for respective topo features.
When I save the Carlson .rw5 file as a .fbk file and then attempt to import
this fieldbook file into an AutoCAD/Softdesk drawing file, linework connects
some of the topo work as it looks in field, but most of the time I get lines
connecting single point shots or linear features that are not related (i.e.
curb to gutter to sidewalk to curb).
I am currently "demo-ing" this software, really like its topo capture speed
with the Leica TPS 1103 Plus, but if I can't get linework imported into a
drawing it's all for naught.
Am I going about this incorrectly, or ?
Anyone else suffer same problem when converting from a TDS-based topo method
