BUG in Point resection

When resecting a point using 3 distances and the residuals are high (by mistake) - Carlson Survey and SurvCADD create a new point with incorrect coordinates

Sometimes Carlson Survey errors then crashes OR sometimes a 0,0,0 or a null coordinate is created - i.e. no coordinate is shown in the edit point dialog.
Has anyone come across this before?
