Bad_Clip

When I go to calculate material quantities under takeoff/materialquantities/standardreport I am getting an incorrect quantity for a layer I titled "heavy_duty_asphalt". Then when I go back to the model there is a line around the area called bad_clip. My layer that I want a quantity on is a closed shape within the set boundary for the model. This a routine report that I run often so I'm not sure what is going on. Anyone else have this problem?
