Buffer Zone based on Distance along a Slope

I am looking for suggestions on how to create a variable width buffer zone of a constant slope length on undulating terrain with varying slopes... For example, I need to create a 600-feet wide slope length buffer zone on each side of the center ridge line with slopes independently varying from 10 to 35 degrees on each side.

I'm thinking it might be done using Centerline and Profile routines, but am not sure...

Thanks in advance for any direction...

If you are using the latest version of Carlson...

How about:

1. Create 3d poly of CL (existing ridge line).
2. Offset 3Dpoly using SURFACE option and desired slope.
