Field to Finish point layering issue

Good Morning, We've recently switched to Carlson Survey 2024 and I'm having issues setting up the field to finish and getting the Symbols to go to the correct layers. The codes are setup to put symbols on the SYM layer and the points on the PT layer. If I check the box for distinct point layer no matter what I do my symbol will ALWAYS come in on the point layer. The only way that i can get them in on the right layer is to uncheck the distinct point layer box but then my points are on a random layer not organized. There has to be a way to fix this.
