Arcs showing up as polygons

I am having a slight problem when I open a DWG file with arcs contained
within it. The arcs appear to be polygons, and not smooth at all. When I
click on the arc, it quickly corrects itself. Is there a setting to change
this? I'm affraid that when I run any numbers on this file it will be less
accurate due to this. Anyone?

it wont be less accurate it is the viewing resolution. if you regen then
everything looks smooth again. you can set the viewres variable to a high
number (I usually set mine to 2000)
