Survcadd 2006/AutoCad 2005/WinXP-Pro
For the most part, many of the bugs first encountered have been fixed. I
have run into a few things lately that I should bring attention to:
1) When using List Points by Selection, the elevations are shown
incorrectly. All elev are shown as "987654321". I haven't actually checked
to see if any other info is wrong, coord values, etc. I see where someone
mentioned that.
2) When using Area by Interior Point (ptarea), the routine does not always
use the "twist screen" for placement, although this option is checked in the
Survcadd Config. In previous versions, the routine always used twist screen
for alignment, if the "Use Twist Screen" box was checked.
3) In previous versions of Survcadd, the blue Grips for PNTDESC and PNTELEV
would not show on screen if these layers were frozen. That is preferred.
Now, in SC2006, the grips show regardless of whether or not the PNTDESC
and/or PNTELEV layers are frozen. This is a problem when moving PNTNO's
around by grip (the only way) on a stake out sheet. I am using the same
AutoCAD for SC2006 as I did for 5 different update versions of XML2.
I don't understand how when you create a new version, how things that
weren't even changed are now incomplete and don't work properly. It's a
mystery. I'm not bashing Carlson. It's still the best software out there.
