We are working with a city that provides their own blocks for us to use
with our field to finish codes. Some of the blocks require attribute
information to be entered when they're inserted. Currently I'm getting a
bunch of manholes inserted with "_.REGEN" as their attribute instead of
the diameter it's expecting. I've read through all of the documentation
for editing .FLD files and have created a couple from scratch using Excel
& text editors so I'm somewhat familiar with the process. However, I have
not been able to figure out if it's
(A) possible to enter block attributes during field to finish.
-or -
(B) how to do it if it is possible.
It seems logical to me that if the "_.REGEN" is getting inserted somehow,
I should be able to manipulate whatever mechanism that's placing the text
there. I'd like to be able to modify my points in my CRD file with field
book information about manhole sizes and have it automatically brought in
during F2F instead of getting the bogus "_.REGEN" strings.
Any ideas?
