Inserting an Excel Spreadsheet

Postby Joe Bishop » Wed Oct 17, 2007 11:05 pm

Hope you can help me. I am trying to insert an excel spreadsheet into a
drawing. I can get the spreadsheet in there, but not all of it shows up.
Also once its in there, I cannot move it or scale it. Any help would be
appreciated. I have a large project that I am trying to get out and I
really need to get this in there. Thanks in advance.

There is one explanation on the following web site:

http://www.dotsoft.com/xl2cad.htm

Scoll down to the section "OLE has it's limitations, XL2CAD doesn't!"

What version of Autocad are you running?

In versions since Tables were introduced, I like to copy the selection in Excel, then type PASTESPEC in Autocad and Choose "Autocad Entities" as the type of paste. This brings in the information as an Autocad Table which is easy to alter and format. However, I have not tried this with a really large spreadsheet.
