point block nodes

I am having trouble with point blocks containing nodes at the begining of each text line. This is very dangerous as I snap to the text instead of the point when I am drawing a line or inversing. It isn't occuring in all drawings - I can't seem to find a relationship or cause. I have set PDMODE to 0. No better Please help.

Under settings check on point object snap when you want to snap to points and you can turn off the object snap all together and this still functions. This should eliminate the chance of snapping to a node. If you have this on and hold your cursor over a point for a second or so you should see all the point data right by your cursor which is also very handy.

That is a wonderful tool. I wish I had started using it 7 years ago.
I have not had this problem prior to this computer. Do you have any idea about cause. Thanks for the help.
