Getting quantities from Existing & Proposed DWG files

I am trying to take and existing dwg file and a proposed dwg file and find out how much cut or fill is on the job. I have very little experience using our the Carlson software so I will need some pretty extensive help. I am able to open the files that I downloaded and view them in Carlson. Thank you.
