Installed Survey 2008 and AutoCAD Bonus Menus Vanished

Postby MadKalnod » Thu Feb 28, 2008 5:57 pm

I've been running AutoCAD 2005 since, well, 2005, and became quite reliant on the bonus menu options that came bundled with it (extend/trim to nested block entities, copy nested block entities, text wipe-outs, that sort of thing).

All was well until I just installed Carlson Survey 2008 this morning. The thing is, I had to re-build my menus from scratch to just the way I like them again (custom flyouts and the like), and I can't find the bonus menus anymore. They didn't load, and since I last touched the setup almost 4 years ago, I don't remember where they're hiding in the labyrinth of support file folders.

I tried the MENULOAD command, and the only options it gives me to pick from are Carlson and Carlson only. Should I re-load the bonus menu files off the original AutoCAD disk or try something else?

I did so and it asked "Perform a full rebuild of the Express Tools menu before loading it? <N>:"

Should it or shouldn't it?

Figuring that it was worth a try, I told it "Yes", and everything is back to normal.

Thanks enormously for the tip.
