AutoCAD/intelliCAD Differences

Postby Fretbuzz » Sat May 10, 2008 6:18 am

Are there any screen shots out there of the intelliCAD version? How different is it?
will it run on AutoCAD LT?
What happens to my Carlson 2008 Standalone? Does it overwrite the AutoCAD engine?
Will it have problems reading some of the AutoCAD AECC objects like CS2008 SO does?

Screen shots look basically the same.

It will not run on Autocad LT.
Your 08 standalone will function as it always has and will not be affected by the 09 unless you do an upgrade and then the 08 will cancel out itself after 90 days. We do not overwrite or use the 08 cad engine in any way with 09.
We are working on object enablers for the Intellicad right now and will have them available soon.

Do I understand you correctly, that the older version, I have 2007 Survey Standalone, will quit after 90 days if I buy 2009? That is very worrisome, as ther are obvious problems with the brand new Intellicad combination. I am crashing Intellicad probably 3 times a day on the average. Some things I would still like to be able to do in 2007, until the bugs get worked out of 2009.

Thanks Jason.

I would like like to know more about the disabling of our previous versions. That seems like a sketchy deal.
